Katie Bayne:

Katie Bayne is a strategic business advisor who blends marketing ingenuity with business transformation experience to help clients thrive in a global marketplace.  As the Founder of Bayne Advisors, a strategic consulting and advising firm, Katie partners with client companies to solve complex challenges that impede progress.  She’s a digital pioneer, focused on delivering custom solutions to build brands, embrace globalization and accelerate results.

A longtime marketing, strategy and general management leader at Coca-Cola, Katie worked in various roles of increasing responsibility, eventually becoming the Chief Marketing Officer, North America and then the President, North America Brands.  Under her marketing leadership, Coca-Cola won multiple Lions, Pencils, Effies, Clios and an Emmy, reenergizing legacy brands and building new ones.  And as President, her business unit beat all goals for value generation and share growth.

Across her career, Katie has assembled a powerful business network and deep global experience.  She has worked around the world, including four years in Commercial Marketing for Coca-Cola South Pacific based in Sydney, Australia, and later as an internal Global Center consultant across all business units.  Since 2003, she has served as an Independent Board Director on three public Fortune 500 companies, in the varied businesses of homebuilding and specialty retailing.  She is now on the Board of Directors of Ascena Retail Group, Leadership & Corporate Governance Committee.

Katie has a BA and an MBA from Duke University and is a member of the Board of Visitors at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business.  She is also a Trustee at The Lovett School in Atlanta and a guest lecturer and executive speaker at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.  Born in Australia, Katie now lives with her family in Atlanta.
